Transformation. In one day in the Amazon the water begins in the river. At noon it is so hot that the surface of the water evaporates, becomes steam and rises into the heavens. In the afternoon so much water accumulates in the air that clouds form and the water vapor condenses, becomes rain and returns to the river.
